Luis Lopez was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He left college early to go into business for himself, started in hazardous materials shipping, and went on to work across drayage, LTL, truckload and warehousing.
He started building software for his own operation because he could not find a platform that connected shippers, dispatchers and drivers in real time. That experience shapes how he covers technology today: focused on what helps the people doing the work.
Known in the industry as the Freight Guru, he publishes daily at TheFreightGuru.io.
